Review: WOW! Loud, pingy, cuts through everything. I have used plenty of heavy, rock, power style rides before this, and nothing comes close. I wish they made a 21 or 22, but 20 is it for the power ride in rude. This ride is extra heavy, very cutting, very pingy, almost a dry, sharp, quick (loud) ping. This ride offers everything other power rides don't (due to the weight), clear, very clear, perfect sustain, cuts through, just a great power ride!

Review: This cymbal is loud! Very loud! Riding on the bow it's quite high pitched, as with many Paistes. The stick definition is clear but has loud overtones that build up quickly. I was jamming some progressive stuff with a friend earlier and found it fits really well into quieter music (not really quiet stuff though) for me playing Rock / Metal / Prog it's great, loud over the bass drum and easy to change volume levels, but it takes some calming down (very long sustain) Hence:
It's not a great crash; a bit slow to respond and maybe TOO loud, is that possible?
The bell is great, high pitched ping and VERY cutting, I love this ride just for the bell.
Has anyone who owns this realized that if you roll on it with mallets it sounds just like a gong?

Review: NOTE: This review is for the custom White 20" Power Ride pictured at right. A nice distinct ping, and the white finish doesn't let it build up. In comparison to the Signature 22" Blue Bell Ride, it is nearly as dry as that, but not quite. It has a nice bell sound. Not suitable at all for crash/riding. I wonder if the special finish makes it a little gongy when crashed. These white finished cymbals show up on eBay from time to time if you're not willing to pay the extra 30% to have them specially made.

Review: (Sticks used: 3A) Very nice clear, distinct, almost gongy tone. I play in a trash metal band and it really cuts through. The bell is nice but a bit 'clunk' to it. Sings long and beautiful. Just what you look for in a power ride actually.
pro:
great bright and clear ping which cuts through all music
con:
not crashable and a bit of a clunky bell

Review: The Rude 20" Power ride does have a nice ping to it, it also has a lot of wash, but a nice cutting bell.
