402 Plus Introduction: 2003
Discontinued: 2005 (Replaced by 201 Bronze)
Background: They were made of NS12 alloy, the “old” Paiste sound.
“A strong, focused and full attack sound with a medium decay rate. Works well played soft or strong. 402's rely on the unique sound of NS12 alloy to create a clear, bright and focused sound.”
This Line were aimed at Students and those who like the more “vintage” sound of the NS12 (Nickel Silver alloy). It is a cheap and easy to work with alloy with good tonal properties.
302 "plus" received the same surface sonic texture treatment in 2003 as the 802, 502 and 302 Lines and additional the Plus was given.
