Review: It's heavy weight does raise the pitch a bit, and it does do a great job for punchy accents that can be heard through the music. It is full of mid-range frequencies and a bold fullness. The only part that I didn't like was a certain unpleasant "hum" after I crashed it. I didn't get to try this out playing with a band, but I believe that it would be "muffled" and unheard if used in a live music setting with other musicians.
