Paiste's Description: <<< - >>>
Review: Spoiler Alert - These are the same hi-hats as the Sound Creation 14" Dark Heavy Hi-Hat. To cut a long story short, in the early 1980's, there was a name change, due to Paiste adding Dark Medium Hi-Hats to the series.
These hats are terrific. They have a great "chick", warm sound, and extremely versatile. It's not clear why Paiste decided to make this model so heavy - and the same could be said for the Dark Ride in this series - but they did. They're not dark in the same way some other companies make their dark cymbals, but they're dark in the "Paiste way". If you see a set of these, or the aforementioned Dark Heavy hats, I think you won't be disappointed. (That is, unless you need hats that are so dark that they get lost in the mix)
