Review: They offer good stick articulation, and a quick response. The cymbals being raw in finish, don't quite sound as "refined" as those that are lathed. For me they have the best definition when tightly closed. Played loosely, the sound opens up with lots of wash and punch. They produce a lot of "cut", but if you require more (and want to stay with this size), find a pair of the RUDE 13" Sound Edges.
