Review: "Paiste describes the 10" splash as “full, fiery, silvery, and explosive, with a fairly wide range and complex mix [of frequencies].” They also refer to it as “responsive and quite sturdy." As such it seems that they’re thinking in terms of a rock splash as opposed to a more traditional thin model, and in that context it worked fine. But it would be a little clangy for low-volume work. The unlathed and fairly oversized bell gave the cymbal substantial sustain. That bell could also be struck to create a separate percussion effect of its own."
