- The AAX Heavy Ride trends somewhat thinner than a normal heavy ride, with added darkness and complexity. At the same time, more highs are introduced. For drummers, that means brighter highs and more complex lows. (1)

- Warm, dark tones wrap around definite stick sound for ride that has strong semi-dry definition, rich musical color and definite presence. (3)
