Description

Alpha

  • With its unique bell shape, this crash is less forceful than the Thin Crash or Crash. The sound is short, "crystal-like" and perfect for musical situations requiring control. (1)
  • Medium bright, glassy, full, warm. Wide range, fairly complex mix. Even, responsive feel. Explosive, fast crash with wide application.
Weight medium thin Volume medium to loud Stick Sound pingy to washy Intensity lively Sustain medium short Bell Character integrated (2)

Signature

  • Bright, glassy, brilliant. Narrow range, complex mix. Very responsive and controllable with fairly fast fade. An interesting lower volume volume general purpose crash with alternate character.
Weight medium Volume soft to medium Stick Sound washy Intensity lively Sustain medium short Bell Character integrated (2)

Sound Formula

  • The bell has a flattened top, giving it an unusual sound spectrum. A soft attack followed by a warm, crystal-like crash. Short sustain, controllable, also nice for light riding. (1)
