While Paiste had been stamping cymbals with model and type designators ''(Thin Crash, Medium Ride, Heavy Hi-Hat, etc.)'' in red or black ink for decades, in 1972 (black label era) the company introduced series stamps in black ink, beginning with the Formula 602, Stambul65, Stambul, Dixie, Giant Beat, 2002, and Sound Creation series. 
In 1981, color-specific labeling (colored label era) for a cymbal series was introduced: Formula 602 and 2000 - Blue, 2002 and 3000 - Red, 505/1000 - Green, among others.

This page is intended to be a gallery and database of stamps from all series that Paiste has released over the years. Both top stamps (indicating series, model, size, and typeface), and bottom Paiste stamps will be documented here. It is a work in progress.

Some of the very earliest Signature cymbals released in 1989 will have ''Patent Pending'' stamped on the underside of the bell; Paiste had applied for patents relating to the formula of the Signature bronze but those patents had not yet been granted. As patents were issued in various countries, their numbers were stamped on the underside of the bell.

The underside was stamped with the typical bold pAisTe logo from 1989 to 2003 when the logo was updated to the current thin logo. The stamp is black, except for the models mentioned above that use a white stamp. From 1989 to around 1998, Signature cymbals were stamped with a listing of all models available in that type's range; the stamp reads ''Paiste China/Crash/Hi-Hat/Ride program''. On Hi-Hats, this was only stamped on the underside of the top cymbal. After the model listing stamp was discontinued in 1998, the cymbals reverted to the standard pAisTe logo accompanied by ''Made in Switzerland'' until the new logo was introduced in 2003.

The pattern, spacing, and thrust tonnage of the hammers were all stored in digital memory and could be repeated with a degree of precision never before possible. Hammering shapes included Convex Closed Hex, Concave Open Penta, Concave Five Point Star, and Convex Six Point Star. Early on, the hammering shapes from the Z Series were carried over. The 2001 redesign of the line introduced a new Concave round hammering pattern on all models that featured hammering marks that formed curved lines from the bell to the edge of the cymbal, similar to wheel spokes. But an authentic, thin China cymbal wouldn't last three beats at the impact level the Z Custom series is designed to withstand. So the Z Custom China Boys offer a good, China-like character—providing vivid contrast to the sounds of the regular cymbals. There were also some cymbals not directly copied, but somewhat inspired by these two lines: Reflector Bell Ride (from the Bell Ride), and the Rough Ride (from the Dark Ride).

Since joining Iron Maiden, [[Paiste Nicko McBrain|Nicko McBrain]] has become one of the most admired and influential drummers in modern times. Tours of the British top metal band are breaking all records, including the 2016-17 The Book of Souls world tour, which featured a unique cymbal set crafted for Nicko by Paiste.
Inspired by the Mayan theme of the tour stage set, Paiste and Nicko collaborated to create special silk screens for the cymbals. Elements of the artwork include the sun god Tonatiuh, and the date January 9, 1983 written in Mayan calendar glyphs, the day of Nicko's very first session with Iron Maiden. Paiste logos are rendered in Iron Maiden script. 
83 sets of "Nicko's Treasures" were made available worldwide. Each set was shipped in its own special wooden box.

While Paiste had been stamping cymbals with model designators ''(Thin, Medium, Heavy)'' in black ink for decades, in the 1960s the company introduced series stamps, beginning with the Formula 602, and later with the Giant Beat, 2002, and Sound Creation series. In 1981, color-specific labeling for a cymbal series was introduced: Formula 602 - Blue, 2002 - Red, 505 - Green, among others.

This page is intended to be a gallery and database of stamps from all series that Paiste has released over the years. Both top stamps (indicating series, model, size, and typeface), and bottom Paiste stamps will be documented here. It is a work in progress.
