Paiste Ludwig
Contents
Introduction: 1957
Discontinued: 1967
Background: 1957: The first appearance of Ludwig (Paiste) cymbals in a Ludwig catalog. The cymbals appear listed this way (w/o the Standard designation - although I am sure Standard was being embossed into the cymbals at some point soon afterwards) in the 1960, 1962, 1963 and 1964 catalogs alongside A. Zildjians.
Despite the different types of early Ludwig Paistes we know to exist - the 3-Star version, some with Ludwig "Chicago" embossed, the Standards, the prices are the same throughout this time period.
