Review: Great hats period! Not as crisp and clean sounding as the old 2002 rock hats, but still very close! Not as heavy as the past 2002 rock hats, still, they can cut! A very clean, meaty sound. If your looking for hats that will perform in louder settings, for a great price, look at these. I loved these hats! Great for any metal/rock drummer! Plus, they dont hurt your wallet as bad. Affordable, loud, cutting, crisp, great hats for the money!

Review: "The 14" Rock hi-hats had a bright, powerful chick, as well as defined response that radiated authority."

Review: Rock Top & Sound Edge Bottom - This is an awesome combination for a set of hats. They are bright and cutting, but not too bright at all. They have a great sizzle when lightly closed and have an awesome bite when closed tighter. They have a strong, loud and a little bit bright chick sound. This is a very versatile set of hats.

Review: I just played these in practice tonight, so I can tell you a few things about using them in a Hard Rock setting. Bright "chick", very solid sound. When used with the foot pedal, the strong "chick" was still there. These really cut well through 2 guitars, bass, and vocals. They also worked well when doing some lite hi-hat work during our version of Soundgarden's "Outshined". These are terrific cymbals. I can't believe that Paiste sells these so cheaply, they seem worth every dollar, and then some. They could be 2002's for the quality that I hear.
