Review: "Todd Sucherman, who has been the bottom of Styx for many years, has perfected the Sabian and two types of crash cymbals. The "Redlight" lineup in the HHX series has a smoky tone and a transparent high-end shimmer that contributes to the fit and presence when mixing, and is designed for use in recording.
From different lines, HHX and AA, four crashes were released each. These instruments are optimized for different environments with the same concept. In the past, there have been instruments with words such as "Studio" and "Stage", but they are unique in that they delve into areas such as playing methodologies, theories, methods, and approaches.
On the other hand, the HHX line is called Redlight, so it is a character that is conscious of its use in the recording (studio) scene. The depth of complex harmonics, the wash ingredients with a texture like a slightly carbonated drink or a breaking wave, and a beautiful sound image that is well-organized and does not involve swaying or shaking.
Compared to other HHX series models, there were parts that felt richer and darker, but I wonder if this is due to the hammering applied to the bell. Like AA Spotlight, the volume is aligned, and it will perfectly support the use of "hitting a crash that matches the timing of a chord change". All of them are not "live/recording only" and have a high degree of versatility that goes beyond concepts."
