Review: "The 10" Filter China was a bit of an enigma. Its dark, coarse overtones conjured images of chains being dragged along big iron cages. It also caused an interesting side effect: My cymbal stand started to hum in sympathetic melodic tones. Still, when I played the cymbal in conjunction with other Gen X models in our review batch, many of its overtones were masked or washed away. So I ended up using it as an “assistant” cymbal that would offer me an extra bit of zing and color for accents when I was finding my way out of a fill."
