Sabian Fierce Crash
Series - Sizes
Important Note: All four instances of the "Fierce Crash" within Sabian's different lines over the years have been the same cymbal. The model began life as part of the HH line in 2000, per a small mention in the December 2000 edition of Modern Drummer Magazine. As of the time of writing, it appears to have first appeared in a Sabian catalog in 2003(???), but the Fierce Crash was then a part of the Signature line. It was described as having been designed with Jojo Mayer, and this is still the case today. Next, the Fierce Crash joined the Vault line-up when the Signature line was shuttered under the Vault Banner. When the Vault series was eventually shuttered as well, the majority of the series' models were moved to the most appropriate lines for each model. The Fierce Crash, alongside Jojo Mayer's other "Fierce" signature models, the Fierce Ride and Fierce Hats, were added to the standard HHX line-up, where they still reside, though all of the hats, as well as the 16" and 17" crash sizes have since been discontinued.
