Review: "The 20" Sumela Ride was another of my favorites. It fell somewhere in the territory between a "traditional", dark-sounding old-world ride, and a more modern, brighter-sounding machine-made model (with a bit of a lean toward the traditional). It had good stick definition and less buildup of overtones than the 20" Studio ride produced, yet it still had a "shimmer" simmering under it when ridden. This is a cymbal a studio rat or a jazzbo could certainly get behind, but it was also versatile enough to work with most low to medium-volume contemporary applications in a live environment."
