Review: "A Wind Gong is 22" in diameter, flat, and has a lathed finish more similar to that of a cymbal than a traditional gong. It is meant to be mounted vertically, hung by a line strung through two holes located near the edge of the gong. As for the sound of Wind Gongs, all I can say is: very impressive! Played with small gong mallets (which are included), the Wind Gongs had a good shimmer and a quick crash when you hit them in the center, and a deep, "wobbly" basso voice when played at the edge. The sound was very gong-like— full and impressive. Wind Gongs are very musical, in a size that could be practical for either drum set use or for carrying around by an independent percussionist. We were sent two Wind Gongs, and even though the sizes were the same and the basic sound qualities mentioned above were similar, each one sounded unique."
