Review: I was really surprised by the Mega Bell Ride. I was expecting a clangy beast of a cymbal, that really is only best used for those who love making "noise" with their rides. It wasn't like that at all! The sound when tapped on the profile was reminiscent of a Rock Ride - strong "ping" over a nice wash that isn't overbearing. The 8" bell is probably why most buy this, and it does what it is supposed to do. Hitting it with the tip of the stick produces a nice sound, but hitting the bell with any other part of the stick produces a piercing, loud "ding" that is sure to cut through whatever music you play with it. Mine weighed 3747g, so on the lite end of this model.
