Review: "The 22" was my favorite— which is noteworthy, since I've never cared for 22" cymbals. Most of those I've played (and heard) tended to be overpowering, dissolving in a wash of overtones. Or else they were just heavy and clanky. But this 22" seemed more controllable. It still had a big sound with a good amount of shimmery overtones and a hint of the trashy sound, but I could always hear that dry "click" coming from the stick impact. The bell was not as clear on this one, producing quite a few overtones of its own, similar to a lot of the old Ks. This cymbal could be overpowering in an acoustic trio, but in a larger setting— where a big sound with good definition is called for— this would be an excellent choice."
