Review: Mine is heavy - 1644 grams - and it has a full sound, somewhat attenuated by the colorsound coating. If a "cleaner" crash sound is desired these colored Paiste cymbals would be a great choice, as the coating "squashes" some overtones and volume. If I could compare this crash to anything, it'd be a Sabian Sound Control, at least in a way. Perhaps a better way of explaining the sound would be to say that the coating takes it "down" one weight class. So a Power Crash in Colorsound coating would sound more like a "regular" finished Crash cymbal, and so forth.

I also find that coated cymbals such as these don't blend well with the non-coated ones, unless the latter are thinner.
