Review: One problem with a china this size is between that and the weight, it can have some unruly overtones. That is definitely true with the 3000 22" China Type. It has a loud exotic roar, with quite a bit of gong-iness after the initial hit. Perhaps those that would be using this would not need to worry about this - say a heavy metal drummer - but for those of a lower volume genre might find this quite unattractive.
The pitch is nice, riding is quite decent on the profile as well. But the sound is very loud and intense, and with the aforementioned overtones, it has a limited appeal.
