Review: This size is a nice "bridge" between the 12" and the 14". While the 12 inchers are quick responding and precise, and the 14 inchers are full-sounding, the thirteens have the best of both worlds. They have great stick response, but with some body, and a nice tone. Opening them produces a sweet "see-ut", and using the foot on the pedal gives off a definitive "chick".
