Description

Alpha

  • A high pitched, articulate stick sound accompanied by a defined chick sound. Good projecting wash when half open. For moderate to loud situations. (2)
  • Bright, high pitched, warm. Full range, clean mix. Responsive feel. Full, bright, energetic open sound. Cutting, full chick sound. Very controllable hi-hat well suited for precise playing.

Black Alpha

Formula 602

  • Rich, silvery, bright, somewhat mellow. Wide range, fairly complex mix. Quick and responsive feel with a soft and warm touch. Very controllable. Full, round and energetic open sound, paired with a light and airy chick sound. Ideal for playing at moderate volume level and a wide range of studio applications.

  • Medium weight cymbals with rippled Sound Edge bottom cymbal. No air lock and the high, sharp chick sound is always there. Very popular for studio recording and not intended to be used by heavy players. Sensitive, high, sharp and light and ideal for playing at soft to moderate volume levels. (1)

RUDE

  • A new Hi-Hat sound: very brilliant, not only in the peak levels but especially also in the mid and low frequency areas. An extremely wide and full sound spectrum with large volume and warm sound character. (3)
  • Raw, funky characteristics with a brighter, less dry sound due to the rippled bottom. A perfect Sound Edge hi-hat for heavy players. (2)

Color Sound 900

  • Bright, crisp, sharp. Wide range, clean mix. Very responsive feel. Crisp stick sound, energetic open sound. Bright, defined chick. Cutting hi-hats for precise playing in wide-ranging styles. While Color Sound 900 feature essentially the same sound and function as the 900 Series, the color coating causes a slightly drier sound, shortens the sustain a bit, and results in a more focused attack.
